The Role of the Teacher

  1. Introduce you to the class at the start of your first programme session.
  2. Encourage students to participate.
  3. Manage student behaviour.
  4. Ensure students stay on task and assist during independent & group work.
  5. Distribute student materials during your session as agreed with you in advance.
  6. Arrange students into pairs or groups as necessary.

The role of the teacher is to:

Stay in the classroom and at all times, assist the volunteer and manage student behaviour.
Set up the class, introduce you and leave you to it
Deliver the programme content
